General Information

The objective of the course in Information Systems at ST. Theresa International College is to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of Business oriented Information Systems and to encourage an interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving. Graduates are equipped to manage information efficiently and to make effective and responsible use of information systems. The practical orientation of the course is reflected in the focus on seminar project work and practical.

 

This degree focuses on how computers are used within business and administrative organizations and combines the study of information systems with the study of management.

 

The degree is useful if you want to work for a software house or in systems management.

 

The Information Systems concentration has been designed for students who are not interested in the traditional computer science major that would involve calculus, computer logic gates, compilers, etc.  Instead, this concentration, within the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems degree program, is for students who want to be familiar with computers, software, website design and e-commerce.


In terms of the employment market, the objective of the course is to provide the business community with graduates combining specialist knowledge with creativity and social skills.
