As a requirement from the Ministry of Education, all schoolteachers in Thailand are obliged to receive training on advanced teaching methodologies to obtain their teaching licenses. In 2013, St. Theresa International College proudly became the first private university-level institution to open the Graduate Diploma Program in Teaching Profession (International Program).
The program consists of 11 courses (worth 27 credit hours) that shall be covered within the first two semesters. Throughout the last semester of the program, students will need to partake in internship training at local schools in order to gain significant real-world teaching experiences. Courses such as Self-Actualization for Teachers, Educational Philosophy, Language and Culture for Teachers, Psychology for Teachers, and Curriculum Development have been designed to further advance your expertise in teaching and educational development. Once you complete our 18-month program, you will be eligible to receive the official teaching license from the Teachers Council of Thailand.
At St Theresa, we offer various extra curricular activities such as academic seminars, religious and morality training, community services, and traditional Thai ceremonies. All activities are aimed at giving you a solid understanding of Thailand’s rich culture and dynamic educational system.
After acquiring your teaching license from the Teachers Council of Thailand, you shall be fully qualified to pursue rewarding careers as schoolteachers or administrators in Thailand’s various public or private schools.
The Graduate Program is under the supervision of the Teachers Council of Thailand and the Office of the Commission of Higher Education.
