    About Academic Services

    Academic Service means an academic activity or project undertaken to provide services to society/community. It is an activity/project that is carried out according to the aptitude in the field that the institute has the expertise to help, develop, and strengthen community/social sustainability. In addition, academic service is an integrated activity. In order to provide academic service to operate effectively, the institute encourages all lecturers and students to apply the knowledge gained from learning and teaching both in principle, theory, and practice in providing academic services to the community and society at the provincial level and national level. Along with monitoring, evaluating, and applying the results of academic services that have been analyzed and developed the appropriate body of knowledge further. Moreover, the results create positive changes for communities and internal organizations in areas such as value creation, knowledge, etc., and also build enabling the community/society to be self-reliant according to their own potential and create a force to drive society according to the master plan of the national strategy. Academic services can divide into two categories: 1) general academic service and 2) specific academic service. The details are as follows.

    1. General academic service is a service that is free of charge. It is an activity or project created according to the suitability and general needs of society/community, such as consulting, training, organizing conferences or academic seminars to point out or respond to social needs, etc.
    2. Specific academic service is to provide academic service to society/community. According to the various agencies have coordinated requests for services. The specific academic services are classified into 2 types as follows:
      • Non-cost specific academic service is a service that is performed jointly with the requested agency with no cost, such as care for the elderly/bed-ridden patients or community waste management, etc.
      • Specific academic service with income is the service that can generate income for organizations/institutions as well as responding and creating benefits to the local/community/society/country, such as nursing assistant training program that responds to government policies and supports the elderly society in the future, etc.
