Expected learning outcomes are formulated and communicated

The Master of Business Administration Program (MBA Program) is updated every five years and continuously approved by Office of Higher Education Commission (OHEC). The latest version is MBA Program 2021, offered for cohorts of 2021 and 2022.The curriculum has set the learning outcomes duly. Learning outcomes of this program is divided into two categories: general outcomes and specific outcomes.

The program LOs are developed based on the institutional vision and mission as well as faculty vision and mission.

The outcomes are communicated to the faculty members and students during orientation days (both the students and staffs).

The formal/written communication of the learning outcomes is done by distributing TQF2.

2. Designed expected learning outcomes are appropriate with the learning management

The course learning outcomes (CLO) are inspired by program learning outcomes. The course learning outcomes are divided into two categories: major and minor outcomes. The distribution of major and minor outcomes is provided in the curriculum mapping.

The curriculum design and teaching and assessment strtategies are aligned in a way that ensures achievement of the learning outcome by the end of the session. The 2021 curriculum revision redesigned the curriculum mapping for improved pedagogic strategies.

Expected learning outcomes are designed by considering 5 domains:

Moral and ethics

Knowledge

Cognitive skill

Interpersonal skills and responsibility

Numerical analysis, communication, and information technology skills

The program’s learning management requires instructors to provide detailed plan for major CLOs teaching and assessment methods (TQF3). By the end of each semester instructors have to present a report on how well the plan was executed (TQF5). The instructors have freedom to comment (in TQF5) if they feel that the learning outcomes are inconsistent with learning management.

3. Generic learning outcomes and specific learning outcomes are formulated.

The curriculum has set the expected learning outcomes and communicated them to the students by using part of TQF2 andTQF3 (e.g. course outline) as a guide.
