style="text-align:center" class="has-background has-medium-font-size has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color">Performance

1. The educational philosophy is articulated and communicated to all stakeholders

The teaching and learning approach Master of Business Administration program focuses on student centered activities facilitating self-directed learning in the circumstance of a caring climate to learn and share. The curriculum is designed in a way that facilitates students to acquire related knowledge and apply them in practice for a sound, healthy and prosperous business environment.

In course level, the course coordinators design teaching and learning activities based on the educational philosophy and business knowledge. The MBA Program specification and all course specifications are published via FBA’s website. Any prospective or new students and other interested persons can see that at the college website. Importantly, all essential information is communicated to each stakeholder group through multiple channels on a regular basis.

2. The students can participate in the learning management process

The program emphasizes on students learning through enjoyment and enlightening rather than focusing merely on certificate. Therefore, all the courses create room for students to fit their life experience into it. Let it be a rough mathematical course like Financial Accounting or human related Human Resource Management, all cases students are encouraged to participate and relate.

Before starting the semester, all courses were available via google classroom. The course coordinators and the instructors distribute lesson plans with materials and/or assignments to the students. The course requirements and CLOs would be communicated to students on course orientation day. Therefore, the students understand their roles and responsibilities to participate in every teaching and learning activity and assessment. The course coordinator allows students to be involved in the teaching and learning process, such as making the agreements for learning activities, setting the submitted date for assignments, identifying the number of group members, and planning project work.

During course operation, students could be involved in the learning process by sending their opinions to the course coordinator and/or instructors or they could send directly to the MBA Program Committee or Dean.

The students also learn actively by using google classroom. Instructors upload teaching materials, individual assignments, group assignments, projects and so on before the class begins. It becomes easier for students to follow the flow of teaching through google classroom. Students also have options to communicate using personal message in this platform. They participate in learning management by asking questions to clarify and/or modify the contents if required.

Students also have to choose a topic for their Thesis (201 301) and choose a thesis advisor based on the expertise and availability.

3. The students can participate in the learning activities

The curriculum is designed in a way that the students are first briefed by the instructors about the subject knowledge and current research in that field. Later the students are assigned to explore different contemporary issues related the course and find a solution using their learnt knowledge and skills. By presenting those issues and proposed solutions the students participate in the learning activities.

Active learning is emphasis on the learning process in order to facilitate the students to engage throughout teaching and learning activities. Active learning methods were chosen to achieve the CLOs. For theory courses, there were various teaching and learning activities such as, brain- storming, analysis, debates, and analytic case study. The individual assignments were home exam, online test, mind mapping, searching, and writing report, and self-reflection. Some courses were designed as project-based learning, team-based learning, and group working.

Project-based teaching approach is utilized to ensure active participation in the learning activities. Projects are chosen in a way that the students report making and presentation instigates critical thinking, problem solving and application of learned theories.

Besides, google classroom plays a big role in interactive learning process where our students participate in the learning activities cheerfully.

4. The students are promoted to be lifelong learners through learning activities

The curriculum has arranged teaching and learning sucha a way that the students have intellectual skills, analytical skills, communication and information technology skills. These skills will promote learning as a basis for lifelong learning.

The MBA Program promotes problem-solving competency to instill students for life-long learning since the problem-solving process requires several skills; inquiry-based learning, knowledge searching, logical thinking, analytical thinking, communication, teamwork management, leadership, and self-improvement.

All the taught courses are designed to make students explore and learn more even after the graduation. For example, the course Seminar in Management (201 107) has an atmosphere and KM (Knowledge Management) processes which requires all students to work by themselves. Furthermore, During thesis writing, the students will be able to summarize the idea, criticize constructively, suggest each other to improve the quality and finally develop a mindset to contribute positively.

5. The students are promoted to be creative thought, innovative, and have an entrepreneurial mindset

Students are trained to find problems related to business management by practicing observation, measurement, data obtained from various documents. It includes surveys at different types business organizations to determine various issues encountered. Through that process they learn to prioritize problems using various information to facilitate businesses in decision-making.

The program offers courses like Digital technology for business (201 113) and Marketing management in digital age (201 110) to develope the students’ digital literacy, crreativity and innovation.

Moreover, project-oriented teaching make students creative and find innovative solutions for complicated problems. Business projects also help to grow entrepreneurial mindset among students.

6. The teaching and learning approach is improved continually and aligned with industry requirements and expected learning outcomes

The curriculum is constantly reviewing teaching and learning processes and assessing learners.

In order to achieve the learning outcomes of courses and programs, teaching and learning processes are reviewed and revised according to the feedback of stakeholders. The course coordinator and instructors design the course specifications to correspond to the MBA Program, including: to formulate CLOs aligned with PLOs, to create teaching and learning activities, to improve assessment methods, and to allocate sufficient resources. The instructor reports his/her detailed plan in TQF3 to be reviewed by the reviewer before the class begins. The instructor and/or course coordinator need to make necessary corrections if the reviewer is not satisfied with the teaching methods, assessment methods, contents, or materials to achieve learning outcomes. Only approved teaching plans (TQF3) are to be followed.

After completion, the instructor has to submit a report on the achievement of the teaching plan (TQF5). Evaluation by the students are conducted using a survey through MIS and instructors’ feedback is obtained from TQF5. Both the feedbacks are reviewed by the course coordinator. The result of course evaluation and improvement plan are then reported and submitted to the Dean for further action.

7. The classroom learning management is focused on a student-centered approach

MBA learning management has three aspects:

management of physical space

management of virtual space

management of cultural space

The course design considers all three aspects of learning management and implement them while delivering the lesson. Either its physical classroom or virtual one, student’s priority is considered.

The curriculum also requires instructors to focus on self-learning and focus on problem-based learning to train students to think, analyze causes, and practice solving problems on various topics of the course.

8. Learning management is managed through various technics of information and communication technology systems with a student-centered approach

The virtual space of learning management is managed by using various IT tools and techniques, such as:

Google classroom: A great virtual space to assign tasks, reviewing assignments, providing feedbacks and lively interactions.

LMS: The college LMS is equipped with many tools to facilitate learning and assessment process.

LINE group: An informal but important mean to keep communication going.

<p
