Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. <\/strong> The program communicates the student intake policy, admission criteria, and admission procedures clearly. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

 The Faculty of Education has  admission criteria, policy and procedures in place on student admissions. It requires all student applicants to have a GPA of at least 2.5 on a scale of 4.0 from their high schools. The list of all applicants will be reviewed by admission office. They have to pass the interview test before being accepted to be in the program.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 All incoming freshmen students are required to take the college\u2019s \u201c Diagnostic Test\u201d to determine the level of each student.<\/p>\n

From 2013-2016, the program struggles to attract more students to enroll in the program. This prompted the program to review and evaluate its recruitment process. The results of the evaluation showed that we  lack of concrete motivation and network to recruit students to the program.<\/p>\n

From 2017 to 2019, there was significant increase in the number of enrollment. This is due to our stronger commitment  to improve the program. The program expanded its promotion by offering incentives to students, engaging the program instructors to the recruitment process and inviting current students to attend education exhibits conducted by the college in their home province to share their experiences and satisfaction with the program. We also have improved our Learning Support and invited the Marketing Team for an open- house for them to thoroughly understand the program. The welcome messages from our alumni also helped in attracting students in the Faculty. <\/p>\n

However, the year 2020 when the pandemic hit the nation, expectedly there was a significant decrease in the number of enrollment despite the faculty’s effort.<\/p>\n

After the significant  decrease in the number of students, the program committee members regularly held a meeting to  find ways on how to possibly increase the number of student for the following year. These are some the important things discussed:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Ask testimonials  from the graduates via video to motivate  students enroll  in the program.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

         2. strengthen our social media presence by promoting the program on social media<\/p>\n

    3.  We  are now offering 50% tuition fee discount with<\/p>\n

    a. catholic students<\/p>\n

    b. Students with  GPA 3.0.<\/p>\n

    4. Offering incentive to students who can bring friends to enroll in the programs. <\/p>\n\n\n

    2. Planning of services and support services are sufficiency and quality services. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

    From admission to graduation, the Faculty  provides  support and services to students in every step of the way. Upon enrollment, every student will be assigned a counselor who will help them overcome any challenges that they  may have throughout their studies. <\/p>\n

    Students will be given access to our full range of academic support services. Numerous facilities are provided so that student can gain expertise in all the practical aspects of the  program<\/p>\n

    Moreover, t he Faculty along with the Office of Students affairs  have laid out plans for students support and services. This includes providing them   various activities outside the classroom that  foster student growth and development of interpersonal, leadership and intercultural competencies which are increasingly important to help them adopt to their new environment.<\/p>\n\n\n

    3. Student progress is systematically recorded and monitored. Feedback to students and corrective actions are made. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

    The faculty has assigned student advisor who systematically records and monitors their progress.  The advisor meets their advisees once a week on a designated  room.<\/p>\n

    The role of the academic advisor extends beyond course and program scheduling.<\/p>\n

    Advisors can assist the student with virtually all aspects of the academic experience and provide information regarding campus resources as needed. Some of the specific responsibilities of academic advisors include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n

      The College Advising System offers individual attention to each student by faculty advisors with unique educational perspectives and experiences and help the student discover appropriate individual goals and intentions and also provides the student with information about their own programs and modes of study through special counseling, appropriate help, and guidance.
      Furthermore, this system is expected to create a systematic channel of communication for students to have academic discussions with their academic advisors, as well as helping with academic skills and course scheduling and pointing out ways to personalize their college experience, including moral and personality development.<\/p>\n

      4. Co-curricular activities and other student support services are available to improve the learning experience and employability. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

      The faculty has\u00a0 \u00a0co-curricular\u00a0 activities and other support services\u00a0 for students holistic development.\u00a0 The program\u00a0 categorised the activities into 5, necessary in acquiring 21st century skills:\u00a0<\/p>\n

      The program focuses on the core subjects to strengthen the student\u2019s skills on their major subjects. Different activities to further
      support students holistic development.

      \u00a0Students of the Faculty participated in the 13th World Peace Ethics Contest 2022. \u00a0The event aims to promote basic moral principles among Thai and foreign students.\u00a0<\/p>\n

      They also organised English and Math Camp at a nearby school.\u00a0<\/p>\n

      The Faculty of Education\u00a0 has organized\u00a0 Academic Expo last\u00a0 September 2022.\u00a0 The academic expo showcases\u00a0 students’ output in different subjects.<\/p>\n

      Moreover, our\u00a0 \u00a0 faculty has its own student body, The Faculty of Education Student council. The student body council members are sent to different\u00a0 leadership trainings and seminars to develop them into independent and life-long learners.\u00a0 This year,\u00a0 we sent our five (5) student body council members to Global Leadership Conference held in Thammasat University<\/p>\n

      5. The competencies of the support staff rendering student services are clearly identified to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of the services. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

      6. Student support services are subjected to evaluation and benchmarking in order to improve continually. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The faculty regularly evaluate our support services to ensure students fruitful and meaningful campus life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The Faculty learning support system aims to have sufficient and appropriate learning resources for all Programs of the Faculty. The Bachelor of Education in English has system in mechanism for learning support to ensure student\u2019s learning is well supported with modern teaching media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Assessment Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The  Faculty holds a meeting at the end of the academic year assesses learning support resources. The curriculum or program in collaboration with the faculty submits suggestions for improvement and development of learning support resources to the College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The result of the survey among students were discussed by the administration to do the necessary purchase and  further improvement. During summer, where students are on vacation, the existing or available learning resources were also assessed by checking the number students and lecturers who actually used the resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      For the year 2022 , the faculty has improved its learning resources for the benefit of lecturers and staff. We have added, fixed, removed some equipment. We have added more books and materials in our Curriculum Laboratory and more equipment in our 21st Century classrooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The BEd Program has English has a modern teaching faculties:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Teaching Lab which is equipped with modern Educational Media such Smart Board, Videos, etc.<\/li>
      2. Curriculum Lab which is equipped with books and other learning resources.<\/li>
      3. Moodle Online System : STIC\u2019s Learning Portal wherein teachers can upload their lectures, quizzes, etc. The students can check different available resources, take examination , and interact with the lecturers.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        -The program instructors check all learning resources (Tests. Journals, teaching media both hardware and software) and makes sure that there will be sufficient for use. If the amount is not enough to meet the needs, the program instructors make a request to the faculty and the college. The improvement of the learning support is the result of the needs<\/p>\n\n\n\n

         The results of satisfaction surveys on learning supports from students is 4.15 out of 5 .  The summary of the suggestion of the comments of both students and lecturers showed that they want a bigger room for the 21st century classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        C. Concrete Result\/ Best Practice <\/strong> For the past years, the program has continually been improving our Learning Support for our students and instructor’s Convenience. The results of our  commitment to offer  only the best to our students and instructors are  seen in the result  satisfaction of the satisfaction survey. Now, the faculty has its LEARNING COMMUNITY CENTRE <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        7. To meet students\u2019 needs, public hearings, analyzing, and feedback are made. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            8. Students\u2019 consulting and advising are made in order to have students succeed in education. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

            The Bachelor of Education Program in English has a very strong well- planned advisor System. The program has its  types of advisory system: Academic and  Life Advisor <\/p>\n\n\n\n

            1. Academic Advisor<\/strong>   -The faculty has appointed  advisors for every year level. The advisors  meet with the students every Wednesday. The dean of the  Faculty as well as department heads also meet the students  every 4th week of the month. The advisor system focuses on the moral and academic skills of the students.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  2.  Life Advisor<\/strong>  – Starting   from 2019,  the faculty established the Life advisors where in students  of the faculty are  grouped into 6.  Each group is composed of different year level. The seniors and more experienced students in the group assist and help the juniors in the  group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                       \u2013 The advisor with the senior students also organise  remedial  classes for students. Both semesters 1 and 2 so the advisor knows his\/her advisee very well. Beside their advisors, the students can make an appointment to meet with the faculty dean for academic or personal advice. The pool of advisors submit the record of advising time and results to the faculty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Furthermore,  the Faculty has online PLC with every year level of students ( ( Line, Facebook pages and groups, etc) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

              b. Evaluation  Results & Improvement Plan<\/strong>
              The pool of advisors meet every month to assess the common problems raised by the students. Each advisor proposes suitable solution . The two  2 systems of advisor seem to go hand -in-hand with each other. The evaluation results show that student have less worries and are happy in the faculty. Furthermore, they said that the remedial classes help the build their confidence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

              c. Concrete Result\/ Best Practice<\/strong>
              For the past 8  years, the faculty has been trying different ways  to serve the students. The faculty believes that its two systems of advisors had a very positive results to the students not only academically but their way of life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

              The number of students drop outs ( see retention rate) has significantly declined since we strengthen our adviser-advisee system. We grouped the students in \u201c Families\u201d. Each family is composed of Senior and freshmen students guided by an adviser.
              Using the PDCA Cycle, the program has been implementing these procedures for the past three (4 ) years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              In line with the statements above, our hardwork paid off as one of our students WON 3RD PLACE in a national competition ” World Peace Ethics Contest 2022″ <\/strong>; other 3 students who participated were awarded ” CERTIFICATE OF MERIT ” The contest was participated by different university Students nationwide! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
