Taking a test might be stressful for university students. However, you can find ways on how to eradicate stress and anxiety. That’s why preparation is the key to obtaining high marks in the test. Here are some tips which I found helpful to a student like you. Read on.

Read and study every night.

Make it a habit to study your day’s lessons at least one hour per night. It serves as your lesson review. It might be difficult at the start but you will get used to it.  Diligence is an essential factor.

Write study outlines or notes.

This is a very good technique. You need to organize each learning episode of your course. It will be difficult to remember lots of ideas. Making outlines might facilitate a review of previous lessons. Mnemonics is one of the best examples. You recall ideas or thoughts easily. Techniques do work.

Discover your learning style.

Each student has his or her style of studying. Some learners prefer listening to music or watching movies while studying. Knowing your learning style will help you to study comfortably but with productivity. Make learning fun and exciting.

Avoid cramming.

Never study a night before the exam. Some students still read their notes a few hours before the test. This is not a good practice. You would not be able to acquire ideas in a short period. Preparedness helps.

Review with your friends.

You can form a study group with your circle of friends. Set up free time for you to gather at least once a week. Discuss among your friends come challenges on your lessons or class tasks. Collaborative learning is powerful.

Engage in peer tutoring.

If you encounter some difficulties, call a friend or classmate who can help you. You can meet with a tutor to address problems with your assignments or projects. Asking for help is never wrong.

Create a schedule.

Plan for your study time each day. You need to prepare a timetable or checklist. Set a time for reading your books or notes. This will facilitate a healthy mental rehearsal that will lessen anxiety for upcoming tests. Keep organised.

Pray before studying.

Don’t forget to pray. Praying is an effective ingredient to nourish your mind and spirit. Couple your efforts with prayers always. Divine intervention is the ultimate key to success. Make prayer a habit.
