Our Certificate for Practical Nurse program is just what you need to begin your career in the fast growing, demanding field of nursing. Being only a one-year short course, it will prepare you for all the challenges of patient care.
Practical nursing is all about administering necessary actions throughout a patient’s road to recovery and ensuring assistance is given to medical doctors with all physical and mental aspects of patient handling. After completion of the program, you will be ready to pass the national practical nursing license examination, where you will gain your licensed status and begin a rewarding career in the world of healthcare.
The curriculum of the Certificate for Practical Nurse program has been designed to provide the perfect balance of both general education and nursing science.
From child and elderly care, to maintenance of medical tools, our practical nursing program shall expose you to all the necessary procedures and practices needed for optimal patient care and comfort.
Nursing science subjects that you will cover include: anatomy, physiology, health promotion, childcare, elderly care, medical technologies, and many more.
Since the English language is widely accepted as the world’s common language for international communication, we have incorporated intensive English language training as part of your curriculum. Skills in the English language will be very important and necessary when you come in contact with patients from all over the world.
To assist with your training in the practical aspects of nursing, our hospital simulation facilities provide you with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and expertise in using modern-day medical technologies that you will be working with throughout your career.
As part of the program, you will be required to visit acclaimed medical institutes to observe the actual treatment of hospital patients. Together with the cooperation of both our faculty members and clinical training instructors, you will have the opportunity to put learning directly into practice.
Once you have completed the program, you shall be ready for the national practical nursing examination in order to gain your license in practical nursing.
Once you have successfully acquired your practical nursing license, you will be qualified to secure a much needed profession at any long-term care and assisted-living centers, community services, private practices, industrial offices, schools and child-care centers, and private or government clinics and hospitals.
Your duties will range from basic administrative duties, to taking blood samples, checking of patient’s health, handling the movement of patients, feedings, patient dressings and so much more.
