2. Designed expected learning outcomes are appropriate with the learning management

The Learning outcomes of the BBA program cover both generic and subject-specific knowledge and skills so that graduates can work in enterprises as well as study at higher levels. The learning outcomes are designed to help students acquire knowledge, skills, attitudes, and the ability to apply these to solving specific problems in enterprises. The PLOs of the BBA Program 2020 were assigned to every course by curriculum mapping. (Evidence TQF 2).

According to the TQF information system, the selected PLOs are assigned to the course as major LOs. Then, each course formulated the course learning outcomes (CLOs) that were aligned to the assigned PLOs. The major LO means that it must be assessed and reported in terms of the student’s performance or achievement at the conclusion of the course.

The course learning outcomes (CLO) can be designed and aligned at the program level or university-wide level. They can also operate at a more granular scale within an individual course or subject. Typically, full-time or part-time lecturers divide their courses into smaller units, such as modules or weekly topics, and many lecturers establish learning outcomes for these smaller units that map onto the larger course-level outcomes. As a general rule, as the level of analysis becomes smaller, from course to module to assignment, the learning outcomes tend to be more specific and easily quantifiable.
It is understood that program learning outcomes are common to all programs in all types of schools. Outcomes are utilized on many scales, from designing and developing curriculum for a program of study to creating lessons for a single class activity. At the highest level, learning outcomes can be established at the university level. In addition, we can claim that course learning outcomes have to be crafted from the program learning outcomes and written into specific statements of what students will be able to do (Progressivism Philosophy in Education) when they successfully complete a learning experience (whether it’s a project, course, or program). They are always written in a student-centered, quantifiable, and measurable fashion that is concise, meaningful, and attainable.

A learning outcome is a clear and specific statement that identifies what learners must demonstrate at the level and standard required to successfully pass their study at program and course levels. When a program uses the constructive alignment approach to curriculum design, one basic activity is to choose and develop learning activities that are aligned with intended learning outcomes. That is, they are likely to lead to learners achieving the specified learning outcomes for a particular teaching session, course, or program, and they are practical and appropriate to use within your current context and with the available resources in the program. The moment you have captured about how the course learning activities can provide learners with chances to elevate through these levels, the course might want to change the measurable assessment words that form the basis of its learning outcomes.

The steps of aligning learning activities, learning outcomes, and assessment with the course and program goals are termed “curriculum mapping”. At the program level, these three elements are linked to the enhancement of the program’s stated goals or the quality of graduates.

3. Generic learning outcomes and specific learning outcomes are formulated.

The BBA program objectives are formulated, and that is the basis for formulating the program learning outcomes, which in turn becomes the basis for formulating the course intended learning outcome, which is stipulated in TQF2 (curriculum mapping).

The expected learning outcomes can be differentiated into both subject-specific and generic skills. The learning outcomes of the BBA program (latest revised and used in 2020) are divided into 5 groups: moral and ethical, Knowledge, Cognitive skills, Interpersonal skills and Responsibility, and Numerical and informational Communication skills. Subject-specific outcomes are knowledge and skills exclusive to the fields of International Business, Logistics management, tourism, and hotel management. Generic learning outcomes, on the other hand, are common skills universal to any subject area, such as problem-solving skills, communication, ethics, IT, leadership, teamwork, etc.

The department head monitors the matching of the formulation of the specific learning outcomes in TQF 3. The designed learning outcomes appropriate to the learning management are shown in the TQF3. The lecturers assigned to a course prepare the TQF3, which shows the learning outcomes to be achieved by the students in every topic listed in the course. The lecturer should assure that the four aspects of Moral and ethical knowledge, Cognitive skills, Interpersonal Skills and responsibilities, numerical analysis, communication, and Information Technology Skills are included in the list, which serves as a guide in the teaching, learning, and assessment processes.

In TQF-3, which shows the plan for the course, an assigned monitor will check the intended learning outcomes to see if they match the program outcomes and the course description. The details of the learning outcome in each area are mentioned in Chapter 4 of TQF-2. The subject-specific learning outcomes are in accordance with the OHEC and Ministry standards of competency for bachelor’s degree graduates. The generic learning outcomes aim to develop a future global citizen, lifelong learner, and co-creator.

5. The expected learning outcomes are achieved by the students by the time they graduate

In the academic year 2018–2022, the graduates were the cohort of 2015–2019, so they had achieved the PLOs of the previous version of the BBA Program that consisted of five PLOs. Based on the framework of TQF for higher education, TQF3 was a theory course specification. Every course identified CLOs as requirements for completion. Therefore, students who completed the course had achieved and contributed to achieving the PLOs.

According to the yearly study plan, students had to complete the previous year’s study plan before going on to the next year’s study plan, which was sequenced from basic knowledge to mastery skills. Some courses are prerequisite courses, followed by core courses in International Business, Logistics management, tourism, and hotel management, and prerequisite courses for the specific practicum courses.

Furthermore, the Office of Higher Education Commission (OHEC) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI), Thailand, regulated that every student had to achieve at least grade 2 of 4 in order to guarantee that they passed at the standard level. In the event that the student could not achieve grade 2, the course coordinator would arrange opportunities for him or her to improve his or her learning until completion.

To assure the achievement, the BBA Program has a course audited system that complies with the regulations of the Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQF) and is regulated by the Office of Higher Education Commission (OHEC), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI), Thailand, with at least 25% of courses audited. The Academic Committee appointed the Course Audited Committee for each course. The committee approved all course operations to ensure that the teaching, learning strategies, and assessment methods enable students to achieve CLOs and contribute to PLOs. Their recommendations were reported to the course coordinator and the Academic Committee for further improvement.

6. The assessment result of students’ learning outcomes in 4 aspects: knowledge, skills, morals and ethics, and personal characteristics from each level have to be higher than 3.51
