The curriculum is developed based on ST. Theresa International College’s vision to produce graduates with morality, ethics, professionalism, good academic excellence and have the ability to be ready to go out to work in the Professions related to the aviation industry upon graduation. The prime focus was to fulfil the pilot needs of the aviation industry. The curriculum was first approved in the year 2016 and the first batch of the Program was started in the year 2017.
During the year 2020, the Program planned to revise the curriculum according to the changing Aviation Industry needs. Numerous meetings were conducted with both the external and internal stakeholders in order to bring the necessary changes. Also, to provide wider career opportunities for our graduates, it was decided to introduce three professional groups namely: Flying group, Other Aviation jobs and Aviation English groups. This idea was put forth to the stakeholders and got accepted.
As a result of all these refining processes, the new curriculum was submitted to the OHEC and the Ministry of Higher Education Science Innovation and Research and got approved on 10th February 2021. It was applied in the Academic Year 2021.
For further improvement in curriculum, the AR major is working on the curriculum revision process and will proceed in the Academic year 2024-2025.
