A seven-point rating scale used for AUNQA assessment is described below.

1. Absolutely inadequate

The QA practice to fulfil the criterion is still at its planning stage or is inadequate where improvement is necessary.

How to write a response to the criterion requirements
  • The response should describe a QA practice that the program do to fulfil the criterion. The QA may be a PDCA (plan-do-check-act) process to ensure the quality, and include documentation, evidence and result of the implementation.
  • The response should illustrate clearly what the QA mechanisms or instruments are; when, where, by who, and how they are implemented and managed to fulfil the criteria.
  • The response should identify and evaluate problems or issues that are not addressed, and indicate how the problems will be dealt with. The diagnostic questions in each of the criterion requirements may help identify the problems.
  • To be concise and factual, the response should focus on information or data (or objective evidence) that directly addresses the criteria, and provide trends and statistics to show achievement and performance.
How the QA practice fulfil the criterion

Quality assurance practice should have QA plan that evaluates and may modify organization’s procedures to ensure that they provide the desired results. It includes documentation for the planning, implementation and assessment procedures for a project, process or any QA activity. To fulfil requirement 1.1 Outcomes formulation, for example, the QA plan should provide information to answer the following questions.

  • What procedure does the program use to formulate the expected learning outcomes?
  • Is a learning taxonomy used to write the statement of LOs? What taxonomy and how is it used?
  • Is the taxonomy used for program or course learning outcomes, or both? Why?
  • What are the objectives in terms of the quality of the learning outcomes (e.g. transparency, ease of assessment, the extent of alignment, enabling hierarchy, effectiveness, clarity to the stakeholders)?
  • What is the process used to ensure that the quality objectives are met?
  • What is a method used to measure the achievement of the quality objectives?

The Bachelor of Business Administration through the support of St Teresa International University endeavors to provide our students with educational experiences that meet the highest standards of international education. To achieve this goal, the program provides facilities and infrastructures, equipment suitably and effectively.

Stakeholders, including potential students, current students, graduates, academic staff, parents, employers, and visitors, experience an impressive sensation that teaching and student support have continuously improved as a result of these enhancements. Our computer room enables our students to perform most advanced research, as well as complementing conventional teaching environments and amenities. The development of infrastructure and resources necessary for the functioning of our undergraduate programs showcases the highest level of innovation. One room was converted to a mockup room for International Business and Logistics Management

7.2 The laboratories and equipment are shown to be up-to-date, readily available, and effectively deployed.

Performance

The Bachelor of Business Administration program (International Business, Logistics Management, Tourism and Hotel Management) have laboratories and equipment to support learning and research. The program uses the following equipment and laboratories:

  • Cafeteria for Food and Beverage Operations. This is where the students will practice and prepare various drinks, both cocktail and mocktail. The program provides a specialized equipment in order to perform the course competency.
  • Computer room. This facility is used for research, data analysis, and Zotero practices. The same facility is used also for the TOEIC practices
  • Mockup room for Logistic Management and International Business
  • Classroom equipment such as LCD, speakers, boards, etc. ready for use
  • Conference room. This is used for mini-discussions and collaborations with students
  • Fitness center. This facility provides various exercise equipment and amenities designed to help individuals improve their physical fitness, health, and well-being
  • Recreational facilities. This is designed to provide opportunities for leisure, relaxation, and enjoyment

Additionally, the program provides various project rooms where lecturers can convene, mentor students, or organize group activities.

7.3 A digital library is shown to be set-up, in keeping with progress in information and communication technology.

Performance

The Business Administration Program utilizes the Online University Library System (ULib) as a tool linking students to essential information. This new system enables students to produce unique, independent works and contribute to the academic community. Our collection is carefully curated to encompass both English and Thai publications, catering to the diverse needs of all our degree programs. The program highlights the importance of library to critically access correct and appropriate information online. The following are optimized to ensure the authenticity of the learning experience of the students:

  • Conference rooms dedicated to collaborative learning and group discussions, facilitating effective teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • ULib Computer Terminals: equipped with the necessary software and tools for academic research and study purposes.
  • Printing and photocopying enabling students to access physical copies of materials when needed.
  • Research Resources providing a range of research materials, databases, and academic journals to support students for their research undertaking.

By providing these resources and amenities, we aim to ensure that our students have the necessary tools and support to excel academically, engage in meaningful research, and contribute positively to their academic community.

7.4 The information technology systems are shown to be set up to meet the needs of staff and students.

The Bachelor of Business Administration program in consonance with the university, commits to support the needs of staff and students in providing Information Technology system continuously. It includes the following:

7.5 The university is shown to provide a highly accessible computer and network infrastructure that enables the campus community to fully exploit information technology for teaching, research, service, and administration.

Performance

The Bachelor of Business Administration program, with unwavering support from the university, boasts a campus-wide wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) connectivity. The use of internet in teaching and research is inevitable in order to facilitate the access of trusted and relevant information from reputable sources for students and lecturers consumption.

As the program commits to the enrichment of the teaching and learning experience, providing an advanced technology is needed including computer laboratories equipped with the latest technology, classrooms with essential amenities (i.e. speakers and LCD screens), study spaces like conference rooms and meeting rooms for academic discussions, collaborative and research pursuits.

These available equipment and technological resources enhance the research capabilities of students by utilizing computer laboratories to process data, referencing through SPSS, Zotero, and grammar checking through Grammarly. The conducive rooms for group discussions and collaborative work are provide an additional support to students’ academic endeavors.

The BBA program is supported by the Information Technology Department through setting up and maintenance of computer and network infrastructure. Their support is inevitable to ensure a smooth operation and accessibility. Furthermore, the IT department is also providing training and development opportunities that will empower lecturers and students to optimize the use of the available resources for academic and professional growth.

7.6 The environmental, health, and safety standards and access for people with special needs are shown to be defined and implemented.

Performance

The Bachelor of Business Administration program at the university has a comprehensive and adequate security system in place, ensuring safety measures are implemented throughout the premises.

Environmental Standards:

  • Provision of recycling bins for paper, plastic, and other recyclable materials
  • Regular inspections and maintenance of air-conditioning systems to ensure optimal air quality.
  • Installation of energy-efficient lighting to reduce energy consumption.

Health Standards:

  • Providing access to clean drinking water
  • Regular cleaning of rest rooms, classrooms, and floors
  • Offering wellness programs and resources
  • Providing liquid soaps in all washing areas
  • Providing reminder for proper sanitary healthcare services

Safety Standards:

  • Conducting regular inspections and risk assessments
  • Ensuring compliance with building including fire extinguisher placements.
  • Providing safety measures related to work hazards
  • Closing of gates at 11:00 in the evening and opening at 5:00 in the morning
  • Security checking of cars and other modes of transportation
  • Encourage students and lecturers to keep the classroom and faculty room clean and healthy by enjoying food and snacks in designated areas
  • Speed limited or car and motorcycle in vicinity of the campus to avoid accident

In response to social responsibility, students are reminded to wear masks as much as possible and to observe physical distancing. The program remains dedicated to providing an inclusive, student-centered, and active learning education.

The university provides chapel for Catholics and a prayer room for Muslims. Additionally, the university consistently joins the international community in promoting health awareness.

The Bachelor of Business Administration in cooperation with the St Teresa International University, has undertaken several activities to create a physical, social, and psychological environment conducive to education, research, and personal wellbeing of the learners and academic staff

  1. Physical Environment:
  • Classrooms equipped with facilities such as speaker, LCD, wifi, and board
  • Computer laboratories for data analysis and referencing tools for research purposes
  • Library and conference rooms for collaborative works of students
  • Food courts, canteen, library, fitness area, and sports area proving a safe, clean space for leisure and recreational activities
  • Waste management systems to maintain cleanliness and environmental sustainability

  • Foster a sense of community through activities like weekly Dorm Night, Sports Day, English Intensive Competition, Goodbye Senior, Moral and Ethics Camp
  • Interaction between lecturers and students during faculty meeting and advisory program
  • Provision of cultural interaction during International Day
  • Conducting trainings, seminars, and other activities for character development and personal growth. 
  1. Psychological Environment:
  • Conducting of activities such as Test Taking Exam strategies, Resume Writing and Acing Job Interviews to best prepare students’ in their endeavors (examination, internship, and job application)

7.8 The competences of the support staff rendering services related to facilities are shown to be identified and evaluated to ensure that their skills remain relevant to stakeholder needs.

Performance

The Bachelor of Business Administration program has established competencies and skills for support staff in accordance to the institutional policy and guidelines. Every work group has a unique job description and distinctive competency requirements. For example, within Student Affairs Office, the Student Welfare department is responsible for organizing volunteer opportunities and school-related activities, and monitoring the effectiveness and quality of the group’s work.

The Student Loan Office is also responsible for assisting students in their loan application and requirements. The school librarian offers a great support for students’ needs and support in learning, as well as acquisition of learning materials.

The registration office ensures confidentiality of student records, prepares examination matters and class schedules, and supports in any scholastic records of students.

The academic learning support (library) offers a wide range of services including information resources, offering scholarly materials, and enabling users to access digital information

The IT office manages and maintains the technology services vital for proper and conducive operation of the university.

Student services are annually evaluated and communicated among its concerned offices for benchmarking and improvement. 

7.9 The quality of the facilities (library, laboratory, IT, and student services) are shown to be subjected to evaluation and enhancement.

Performance

The satisfaction of each facility is evaluated by students and staff to measure their service quality, as shown in the table below. The satisfaction survey for each work group is annually distributed to staff via paper and email for evaluation of their services. All suggestions are noted and reported to the Faculty of Business Administration for appropriate management and action.

Additionally, several rooms have been upgraded with new air conditioning units to ensure student comfort.

They promote professional development, foster a positive school culture, boost morale, and ensure accountability.
