AUN-QA Criterion 7 – Facilities and Infrastructure

For AUN-QA, criteria 1 to 9 are assessed at 7 levels.

Performance

1. The physical resources and facilities are sufficient.

The program maintains a system for providing and monotoring learning supports.  There is enough support facilities for smooth operation of MBA program. 

There is a satisfaction survey process for teachers and students, the result of the survey is utilised to meet the needs upon request by reflecting satisfaction level or suggestions. A report is then prepared to submit to the Dean to plan together with other programs of the faculty. 

There is also a survey for the readiness of learning support such as books, manuals, textbooks, the Internet system. instructional tools , etc. from instructors of the curriculum to provide adequate, appropriate and timely learning supports. Program instructors are involved in the provision of learning support by submitting requirements through the Dean for sending that to president office for procurement decision after careful examination.

2. The up-to-date laboratories and equipment are readily available and effectively deployed.

The program has a modern language lab and a computer lab to provide better learning experience to the students. Besides, college library runs an information center with online and offline database.  

The library is for students to foster their knowledge seeking behaviors. The students can access to the college central library offering Thai and international textbooks, journals, data-based for e-books covering all subjects in the MBA program.

3. A digital library is set-up, up in keeping with progress in information and communication technology.

The program utilizes the college library facility. Books, journals, and other media related to teaching and research both in Thai and English are provided. Responsible instructors propose titles of the books, journals and media related to their respective field to be used in teaching and learning every year. The college ‘s library system allows students to access academic information through an online system to search research that has been published from both domestic and international journals. 

The program has arranged a training on the use of digital library and online database search by a library staff.

4. The information technology systems are set up to meet the needs of staff and students.

The program, along with the College IT Office, has improved the Internet signal network system covering more than 90 percent in the college building area, student dormitories, cafeterias. Moreover, there is an established IT system to meet the needs of personnel and students by increasing communication with different internal stakeholders through various channels such as Distance learning system (google meet), LMS, google classroom etc. College also provides e-registration system and STIC email addresses for all faculty members and students.

5. The university provides a highly accessible computer and network to the campus community.

The curriculum in conjunction with the college has provided a computer room to support teaching and learning and TOEIC English lab for students to achieve required TOEIC score by the end of study. The teaching and learning area has an internet network system covering every class; students and faculty members can access by themselves via Free Wifi enabling them to efficiently study and search knowledge from learning resources on the Internet.

6. The environmental, health and safety standards are defined and implemented.

The program, as an unit of the college, has taken environmental measures such as sorting waste by type, planting and taking care of different plant etc. providing designated eating areas, maintaining cleaning rota etc. Public health measures include providing designated eating areas, and clean drinking water both in the school building and the cafeteria. During the epidemic, COVID- 19 extra health and safety measures were taken such as checking the temperature before entering the college, alcohol gel for cleaning hands at different service points and strict cleaning rota. CCTV cameras and alarms are installed at various points to ensure safety of the students and personnel.

7. The university provides a physical, social, and psychological environment that is conducive to education, research, and personal well-being.

The program, together with the college, maintains healthy physical as well psychological environment such as shady and beautiful trees all over the campus, recreational facilities like lakes, golf course etc. The dormitory in the college provides sports facilities , including football fields, volleyball courts and fitness rooms. In addition, the library has arranged private research zones, research rooms, group study rooms etc.

The college also organizes different cultural events for psychological wellbeing.

8. The competencies of the support staff rendering services related to facilities are identified to ensure efficient services.

The program clarifies its role in Faculty of Business Administration personnel management system, it includes procedure for recruitment and job description of support personnel in order to acquire qualified personnel.

The program also suggest desirable qualifications and training needs for the support staff and take part in the evaluation of the performance to ensure quality services towards the students and faculty members.

9. The quality of the facilities is evaluated and improved.

The program conducted a questionnaire survey to collect opinions of teachers and students on learning support and facilities. It was found that students’ satisfaction with learning support in the academic year 2022 was at a good level. 

The evaluation score would be utilized to further develop the facilities in the program.

10. Learning resources are aligned to digital social context.

The program acknowledges and take into account the need for advanced professional learning resources including language and business related resources.

It develop the potential of using information technology to support learning 4.0 to produce quality graduates and keep pace with the needs and career advancement of the program.

The learning resources provided for the students are aligned with the needs of digital era learners. Learning Management System (LMS), Google classroom, Line groups are some to name such resources. Besides, the digital library and IT center play the vital role in this context.

11. Unit cost analysis and cost effectiveness of the program/curriculum are performed.
