Indicator 2.1. Expected Learning Outcomes

For criteria 6 and 7, it is assessed using the Office of Permanent Secretary of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovations standards.

Operational Result

1. Expected learning outcomes are formulated and communicated

Graduate Diploma Program in Teaching Profession (International Program) is a 2018 Revised Program. This Program is based on the Thai Qualification Framework of Higher Education and regulated by the Office of Permanent Secretary, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Innovation. There are 4 objectives and 9 graduate desired characteristics that were derived from the stakeholders’ needs.

It was formulated appropriately per the learning Taxonomy and aligned with the vision and mission of the College and the Faculty. It was communicated to proper stakeholders through College Website, staff members, and learners’ orientation.

Those objectives were principles for 6 domains of curriculum mapping (Cognitive, Moral and ethics, Intellectual skill, Interpersonal relationship skill, and Numerical analysis and International Technology Proficiency skill)

2. Designed expected learning outcomes are appropriate with the learning management

The learning Outcome of the program was designed for all courses through curriculum mapping. Each course formulated the learning outcomes to align with the objectives which were founded in TQF3 of course. The assessment methods, teaching, and learning activities were also included.  TQF3 of course has to be approved by the program.

3. Generic learning outcomes and specific learning outcomes are formulated.

The program is composed of specific and generic learning outcomes in accordance with the Teachers Council of Thailand. The generic learning outcomes were aimed to train learners to be good citizens who have the characteristics mentioned above. The specific learning outcomes were aimed to develop good professional teachers.

4. Expected learning outcomes meet the requirement of external stakeholders

The stakeholders’ needs were collected systematically before the design of the program through many methods appropriately e.g. In-depth interviews with current learners, alumni, school administrations, parents, the Teachers Council of Thailand representatives, the Ministry of Education representatives, the Ministry of Higher Education representatives, and academic staff. Data were analyzed and formulated to be the objectives and learning outcomes congruent with the stakeholders’ needs.

5. The expected learning outcomes are achieved by the students by the time they graduate

Based on TQF of Higher Education, TQF3, 4, 5, and 6, every course identified learning outcomes as the requirement for graduation. Graduates have to achieve those learning outcomes. The program assesses the graduation outcomes through the verification technic to ensure that the operations of courses (teaching and assessment methods) and learners’ achievements were appropriate to use for developing graduates’ outcomes at the end academic year.

 

6. The assessment result of students’ learning outcomes in 4 aspects: knowledge, skills, morals and ethics, and personal characteristics from each level have to be higher than 3.51  

The Program has been organized to assess the learning outcomes of learners through the questionnaire which includes 4 new aspects of Higher Education standards (Knowledge, Skills, Ethic, and Moral, and Personal Characteristics)

7. The average of the assessment result of all 4 aspects of students’ learning outcomes has to be higher than 3.51

The Program also analyzed learning outcomes results of those 4 aspects and found that the average score of achievements was higher than 3.51.
