Indicator 8.1 Supporting Materials (Facilities and Infrastructure)

For criteria 10 and 11, it is assessed using the Office of Permanent Secretary of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovations standards.

For AUN-QA, criteria 1 to 9 are assessed at 7 levels.

Performance

1. The physical resources and facilities are sufficient.

The facilities (computer laboratory with 40 seats and areas of activities) and 7 classrooms with audio-visual devices are arranged for learners and are located on the third floor of the administrative building and equipped with high-speed WIFI.

          The learner can access to the library located in the next building about 2 minutes walking distance. The library contains both Thai and English Documents, journals, e-book covering all areas of subjects. The Faculty of Education also provides an education lounge on the fourth floor of the administrative building.

2. The up-to-date laboratories and equipment are readily available and effectively deployed.

The computer Laboratory is equipped with 40 modern personal computers. Learners are able to use computers at any time during the days they come to study at STIC. Hi-speed WI-FI is equipped to cover all inside areas of the building and outside areas of the building.

3. A digital library is set-up, up in keeping with progress in information and communication technology.

Learning Resource Center (Central Library) is set up to serve all learners in the college. The College aims to develop this learning resources center to be a full function of the digital library. in the near future.

In this learning resource center, learners can request to use

4 Small group study rooms. New learning materials for all programs are bought and put in the library annually since the survey from the academic staff and the program was sent to the administrative office.

4. The information technology systems are set up to meet the needs of staff and students.

A STIC-MIS system is arranged in all areas covering teaching and learning, research, and academic services. The hi-speed WIFI is assessed and upgraded for sufficient utilization within the college.

The learners and all staff can access the STIC-MIS system from outside the College via a VPN application.

The system is also designed to protect all information about the College.

The College provides many IT systems that fit all academic activities such as STIC main website, the faculty website, Learning Management system Applications, Google classroom application for learners to access academic staff handouts, and assignments, Google Meet for studying online, digital Library application, Advisory system for closed monitoring learners.

5. The university provides a highly accessible computer and network to the campus community.

For network infrastructure, STIC high-speed WIFI is equipped to cover all areas in the College. The username and password are legitimately assigned by the IT department to all members of STIC. Internet Communication is designed to be secure and stable at all times. The protected system is equipped to ensure safe and secure utilization of the IT system, Registration system, learner information system, and staff activities system.

6. The environmental, health and safety standards are defined and implemented.

The College provides and maintains the environment, health, and safety standards in all areas at all times. The Security system is arranged by the college 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. Security guards and CCTV and managed safety monitoring at all times in all areas.

7. The university provides a physical, social, and psychological environment that is conducive to education, research, and personal well-being.

The College provides a good environment for learning and leisure activities based on safety concerns in offices and classrooms, learning resources center, Leisure activities areas, parks, sports, recreation center, and dormitories.

8. The competencies of the support staff rendering services related to facilities are identified to ensure efficient services.

The competency of supporting staff who are involved in providing services, and facilities for learners, and staff are identified and evaluated to ensure that their skills remain relevant to stakeholders at all times. Core competency and job description of those staff are identified clearly

9. The quality of the facilities is evaluated and improved.

The satisfaction of using facilities is evaluated and assessed to ensure the quality of services regularly by the learners and staff. The satisfaction survey is delivered to all learners and staff via paper-based and Google forms annually. The improvement of facilities will be done from time to time.

10. Learning resources are aligned to digital social context.

The program is always concerned with the learning resources that support the learning activities of academic staff and learners. The program always seeks resources with a congruent digital society environment. The program arranges to have many digital learning resources for all courses in order to improve learners’ quality and outcomes in their professional careers.

11. Unit cost analysis and cost effectiveness of the program/curriculum are performed.

Unit cost analysis of this program is analyzed in every academic year and reported to the Faculty and the College respectively. The analysis will be used for program management improvement.
